One of the world’s oldest scientific institutions, occupying a world famous Grade 1 Listed building in Mayfair, London suffered severe financial difficulties in 2013.

The Chairman of the Trustees engaged me to lead a professional team to develop a strategy with the building as the centre of this, to save the Royal Institution and to help reshape it’s place in the world of science.

The advisory and investment work was complex because of considerable national and international publicity and concern, the charitable and Royal Charter status of the Institution.
